I tend to assume that it is a matter of alternative nr 1 when you get equipment off animals, even if it is a rabbit that is in possession of a dagger. Somehow.

Though I suppose that in this version there is a third alternative.

Also! Happy 10 years, Dragon Age! (meanwhile I accidentally leave this to post PM, rather than AM. Because I'm smooth that way)

Of all the people to have questions about WHERE their stuff comes from, Staircase here wasn't the one I had expected.

Maybe insides of animals contain portals to different tiers of treasury hoards?

Anyhow I hope you feel better :-)

i always found it amusing. thankfully, dragon age 2 fixed it.

I imagine the condition of the armor would answer that question. If it's busted to shit, the previous owner got ate. If it's just the seams that are ripped, the bear was wearing it.

I also like when Darkspawn carry money. What do they do with it? Does Skullsmasher the Ogre roll into a comic book shop during the battle of Denerim like "hi, do you have the latest issue of The Torrid Romance of Flemeth and Urthemiel?"

The armored bear was eaten by a regular bear.
