Perhaps the cage for that rodent in Mass Effect Andromeda wasn't quite that small, but... still. Too small. Entirely unsuitable for that big chubby monstrosity. And it suffered the same fate as poor Boo II - nothing stimulating whatsoever in their cage. You can travel across galaxies but you can't give a hamster a wheel and something to dig in? Tshh.

Which merchant do you buy that hamster from? Asking so I don't subject some poor cute little rodent to this by accident.

EDIT: The ME:A one, specifically.

@Broseidon: It's already on the ship, sorry. There's a mini-quest related to it. You can choose to release it on an alien planet with unknown consequences instead?

i'm still annoyed that i can't take orz with me off planet.

Ah, Bioware...making our terrible anxiety dreams about forgetting to feed our fish and accidentally killing them all a reality.

Oh Bioware

the best thing about the dead fish is fish in a healthy tank can go days if not multiple weeks without being fed and be thinner but basically fine, unless there's a territory dispute etc. then you just have one big ol fat fishy in the end

@zenat: Is this one of those 'meaningful choices?'

Posted @ July 15th, 2019, 10:28 pm

@Broseidon: I loled :-D

Still, I think I let it go on a desert planet before I fixed the Vault. Been a long time.

No, just buy the fish after you finish all the missions that way you never have to feed them.

@Blazypika2: It is definitely on the list of things that I'd like to change with the ME series

@kro: Indeed, and if there ever was a moment of realism that was unnecessary, I'd say this was it.

@StillADork: I suppose we went on some REALLY long missions then? Can we blame indoctrination on this too?

@Broseidon: Pfff, I honestly have no idea but there is no way I am releasing any non-native creature on a random planet. I know what happened to Australia, even if I am apparently the only one in the MEA universe.

@mamiser: Did it survive? Did it multiply horrendously like tribbles and ruin the ecosystem? Tell me!!

@wildmageguy: But then I don't get to enjoy them during the game :(
