So, first time I walked past the bar in Haven I heard Zevran laughing. I was DELIGHTED. Ran right in, no cutscene triggered. I began to inspect the people by the tables. No one noteworthy. I checked by the bar. No elf. I began to look in the damn corners, behind furniture, double checked the people present.
Still no Zevran.
I have never felt so betrayed, Bioware. Never in my entire life, I tell you.

In a later playthrough I heard him outside by a group of people and I didn't even look. I might never trust again.

He IS supposed to be a (former) Crow Assassin. Might be he doesn't want to be found, in which case you'll never actually find him.

Even with the past decade or so as evidence otherwise I'd really rather believe it's that than BioWare being lazy.

have you considered the possibility that you might be hearing what you wanted to hear and it was all in your head?

I always hear Fenris laughing! He's never there, though.

He's never there.

@Broseidon: Perhaps, perhaps... but if he's anything like he was in my DAO playthroughs I should be able to find him knocked out at every other battlefield. And yes, I still want him in my team.

@Blazypika2: All I want is for Zevran to genuinely be able to say that he has known every last main character in the series carnally. And also maybe have him on my team in every game, even if he is a disaster.

@Guesty Guestface: Well, now I'm beginning to doubt my own ears. Pretty sure it's the same laugh... the elves are merging...

@zenat: while it is a reasonable desire, zevran have better things to do than to shag every character of yours. but i'm sure he would given the chance.

Maybe the lyrics from The Slightest Ones were more literal than we thought: when the slightest unite, a giant will rise.

Kind of like Power Rangers, except instead of robots it's just a pile of elves.

@Guesty Guestface: I dunno, when I think of an elf and a pile of bodies combining I remember Orsino.

@Horrified Guest: Yes, that thought lingers in the back of my mind as well. Like that one strange house guest you don't remember inviting to the party that always seems very reluctant to leave. Like, maybe they're homeless? You don't know. You don't know them. How did they get in??

@Blazypika2: Naturally, but I still think he should be given the chance. And also the chance to get a pretty makeover since the DA2 incident.

@Guesty Guestface: That... is one creepy mental image.

@Horrified Guest: ..... thank you for the reminder. I hate it. But yes.

Reused voices

@zenat: have you played Diablo 3? I was so happy to hear Fenris' voice from the Crusader, oh and Cullen's voice is the town guard.

@Raining Chickens: I have not, but I have been happily making my way around Skyrim and had to turn around and hang out with some guards for a while because I'm pretty sure I heard Fenris.
