I love drow. It is true.
But I really, really do not care for Drizzt do'Urden.
And then Marcus goes and utters these very words during an rp session. 14 years he's known me. 14 years.

I have never felt so betrayed in my life.

You are completely justified. I second the motion!

@Neoseh98: I am pretty sure it AT LEAST warrants a lost level or two for his character.

Well, funny how many characters do you not want named? Not characters who mildly annoy, but characters who you do not have any liking to the extent that their appearance wants to make you gag? Who don't progress from annoying to likeable but who only get worse? Do you have some kind of a list of (s)he who must not be named?

My experience is more of a slow burn, where the combination of their actions over the game/book/movie builds up my gradual annoyance and then they end up blaming everyone except for themselves for their actions.

I mean a 'my god what have I done?' would be acceptable and even that couldn't save Anders.

Good revenge tip number 1: find the name of a character he hates and make him a prominent character with a similar enough name. This may not work if you also hate said character. That or after giving him a great weapon cause his character to lose it by some contrivance.

Wildmageguy is not responsible for any ill conceived revenge plays. Any revenge plans need to be thought out thoroughly and proportionally to the offense and not taken as an answer to anything that annoys. By reading this you agree to send my characters 10^8gp each. Do not overdo things. wildmageguy is in no way responsible if any group descends into revenge chaos. Use of wild magic falls under said revenge which I am not liable. The giving of revenge ideas is a service which I can give but if you act on said ideas I am not responsible.

Truth be told I've never understood the Drizzt hate-on. The people who play suspiciously similar expies of him, certainly. It's a role-play game, put yourself out there and create something strange. (No, it doesn't count as strange of novels of said character started turning up a bugger-ton of years ago. There's now like, three-dozen of the things?)
But the character himself? He's rather like potatoes, no? Fine, though not exceptional. And sometimes vanilla-hero-guy_Oppressed-Because-Of-Heritage is just the ticket to deal with whatever dickery or failure your favorite characters in ASOIAF (or some other grimdark setting) has gotten up to.

I'm not very fond of drow. Their whole design seems to be made up by an edgelord teen with an s&m-fetish.

@Sharp-Claw: I dunno, sometimes they're so utterly over the top it's kind of hilarious.
Other times it seems like if you put any three of them in a room for ten minutes then offer them the key or a knife, they'd all choose the knife for fear that the key would leave them defenseless
Then some poor Orc Janitor-slave has to spend half-a-day trying to get all the red out of the carpet.
