It took me about 0.5 seconds of playing SWTOR again to start falling off things. And taking damage for it.
Railings are a thing. Please, Star Wars, use them.

Fun (?) fact: this is supposed to be animated, but smackjeeves won't have any of it. Patreon supporters can see it in its intended glory and time will tell if tumblr users can do so.

Reader Comments:

don't forget the lifts, you'd think and advance civilization as what we see in star wars would have better lifts than what we had in the 19th century :P

OSH violations are a tradition in the Star Wars galaxy since *timey-wimey hijinks* pretty much forever.

Dromund Kaas once had OSHA insisting on proper railings at all walkways.

It displeased the Emperor.

This is how the empire culls the weak
(and inattentive) from it's ranks.

@Blazypika2: There are teleports, but those seem to be rakata technology or some such for the most part. I too feel they could do better than lifts that go up and down at their own pace, with or without passengers.

@Norgrath: I suppose the whole "a long time ago" thing is the key here. It's clear health and safety has yet become a priority, at least not when put next to Dramatic Esthetics.

@Karhu: Maybe the Emperor should consider how much greater the empire would be if people didn't have to get scraped off the pavement every other day.

@Sharp-Claw: I feel personally attacked. How dare?

Safety is no concern for immortal, self-resurrecting, superbeings. Also this is eight video game hours or like 15min.

@zenat: one would hope. still judging from the movies, it's good that after 3500 years they learned to make decent lifts :P
