I will admit that it was a long time since I crawled through Taris and tried to locate the source of that noise, so if I'm way off please don't judge me too harshly. I'm still fairly certain about the other two being accurate though.

Damn... that was savage. No potion, salve or poultice is gonna heal that.

@Deonis: I should probably say that I actually kinda like Solas and I am very fond of his voice. I just feel that some of his opinions are... you know...

I wish there was an option to go "I DO WHAT I WANT, SOLAS" and flip him the bird while you unceremoniously jump into the well and angrily drink from it.

I'd still make Morrigan drink from it (because her being bound to Mythal forever is INCREDIBLY ENTERTAINING to me), but I would still like the option to be a contrary asshat to Solas.

Solas's true identity is the teacher from Charlie Brown.

@Guesty Guestface: Yes, but also... staring him dead in the eye while you drink so deeply from it that you drain it. It will likely kill you but D<

@Guest: !! It would be hilarious if one replaced the sound files. DAI's answer to the Skyrim Thomas the tank engine mod?

i dunno, he seem to make sense to me. i mean seriously, first playthrough you telling me the possible implications of what it might mean to drink from the well and be bound to a dead god, didn't scare you? and knowing bioware you know they not just gonna let it slide, you know something gonna happen. as it were, my character on my first playthrough trusted moriggan and saw no reason to deny her request while at the same time wasn't ready to be bound by the well.

I like to imagine that my Inquisitor is just not that into drinking water from old pools found in ancient ruins. "No thanks, I'll pass on the magic stank water. How many birds have pooped in there? My cousin once drank water from a stale pond and had the shits for WEEKS. I have THINGS to do. I don't have TIME to be constantly pooping."

But Morrigan's super thirsty for the elven stank water, so she can have her fill. Go ahead and suck that back, Morrigan. Try not to think about all the dead animals that have been in there over the centuries.

@Blazypika2: I'm afraid I was too deep in Dalish (out)rage to listen to shem about how she is best suited for this task to really hear anyone out. In my defense, Trespasser rewarded me so... whooo? Ghost friends!

@Guesty Guestface: Hahahaha that is a beautiful description... and probably pretty accurate.

When a woman says she wants to drink from the strange bird bath and bind herself to an old god who we at the time knew nothing about, go ahead. I am just thinking, if one were to play as a male character as the main character for reasons like one might play as male for bg, and female for nwn2/dao, and that character were to drink from the well... would mythal end up in a dude's body? Like a reverse Edwin.

Your char looks funny, good work, but what is she doing with her mouth? Is she kissing the water? Making a kissing motion at Solas?

@zenat: yeah gotta say, till trespasser it doesn't seemed like we actually get something from drinking that blasted thing, so yay ghosts. still doesn't beat the amusement we get when morrigan finds out who is she bound to [insert evil grin here]

TBH, I was in Dalish (out)rage mode at that scene as well. What snapped me out of it and convinced me at the last moment the let Morrigan drink from the stale body of water was the dialogue option that makes the inquisitor say that she can hear the voices from the well and whoever drinks form the well will be bound the hear them all the time. Bound to a (believed) dead god may sound like a hollow threat, but the possibility to hear voices in your head for the rest of your life doesn't sound so hollow.

@wildmageguy: "Watch this, Solas *proceeds to make out with water*"

@Blazypika2: It's a bit disappointing that you don't have to deal with much of anything because of it, until Trespasser yes. I'd be cool with the above mentioned voices and whatnot, just... you know... something. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention, I'm sure Solas said something but...

@Cathy: I will admit that not even that deterred me from going "I AM DALISH AND IT IS MIIIIIIINE"
My only regret is not romancing Solas that first playthrough as well.
