And I think you all know which rift I never, ever dealt with.
Fen'harel can take those pride demons. ... I mean, he CAN'T because he got absolutely annihilated with the rest of the team whenever I tried, but you get my meaning.

The rift I always had trouble with was the one in the hinterlands river on the way to Dennet's, the one with the despair demons. It's problematic since it's not actually out of the way.

@Norgrath: I'm pretty sure that this rift is supposed to be a roadblock, to tell you: "Leave the hinterlands for now,and level up."

@Norgrath: You know, that one always took time for me, but I didn't find it super difficult? I'm not really sure why because A LOT of people have troubles with that one. I am really bad at dealing with Pride demons and whenever they pop up somewhere I cry a little, but I can cope with despair demons for the most part. Even though they annoy me terribly when they fly off.

@Sharp-Claw: And yet nothing in comparison to that sudden "Surprise dragon! Death from above!" that the Hinterlands throws at you. That put the fear of swooping horror into me the first time I stumbled out into its territory to last me for all playthroughs.

i admit to getting my ass handed to me by a few rifts early on..soo i ended up taking the long way around whenever i came across them..like..ALL of them till i could not immediatly die upon going into there...barrier mages all day every day :P

being a completionist i had to do all of them (in the first playthrough anyway). and RP-wise my inquisitor was very interested in closing all the rift. not to mention it's a good source for power points and reputation.

at low levels terror demons can be annoying, but after you get the drift of the game it's pretty easy, just keep knocking them on their arse than kill, they die fast god bless them.

despair is not really a challenge, they are just annoying. i mean stay here and fight you fucking bitch!

the pride demons are slow so they are simple to deal with, just have the tank turn them around and use the mage to spawn shield right before they charge with electricity while everyone attack the back of it. at high level it's really easy to kill them. helps if you have guard breaker attacks to speed up the fight.

it's really the fear demons that are a problem, in trespasser the part you fight 4 of them was challenging. which was fun =D

@zenat: i had something similar in crestwood, the dragon just swooped out on me (and we all know swooping is bad). i ran away and went back to skyhold to have a party preppered with fire proof stuff and ice ability. i come back and then the fucking thing uses electircity attack... >_<
