Was this an excuse to draw a cute monster? Maybe. But mostly it is probably just me still not being over being forced to make horrible choices.

*laughs uncomfterably* Heh. Heh. I Kiiinda always make the exact same decision for almost the exact same reason. I love Loghain far too much to let him die.

If there is one thing I have to give to the DAI, then it's that I actually did "feel" the choices. Maybe the consequences usually weren't really that different, but the act of choosing in itself was strong enough to make a solid impression on me.

i..havent gotten to this point yet..for two reasons..A: GIANT FUCKING SPIDER, RPG MAKERS STOP IT NOW!. B: i..am acutally stuck in a story mission for the simpel fact i cant figure out how to climb the mountains for this beging, are..but i know exactly who i'd choose between all the choices, every time...i just cant put varric through that pain again

Was ever explained why Loghain was the ONLY warden (or 2 or 3(Hero of Ferelden and maybe Alistair)) who could resist the call ?

Posted @ August 28th, 2017, 7:25 pm

@Sharp-Claw: From what I remember, they didn't resist the call, they just disagreed with other wardens how to deal with it and found it suspicious at what other wardens are doing, or something lke that. I would have to replay the game to be 100% sure, but I think it have been something like that.

@NewWillinium: I tried to reload and save Hawke instead. The guilt was even worse and I had to undo it -.-'

@mamiser: Oh yes, I think this and the qunari decision were the two strongest moments in the game, *because* you really felt it. Especially this one, because it was three games worth of commitment behind it, kind of like the Tuchanka part in Mass Effect 3.

@Draven22: Yeah they sure are fond of spiders... I'm not a big fan either, to be perfectly honest (despite being a big fan of drow and Lloth... we have a complicated relationship) As for the mountain climbing... I had problems with that too. Made me miss Skyrim something fierce.

@Sharp-Claw: I think mamiser has the right of it, I remember pretty much the same thing :)

my god, i remember when i first played it, stared at the computer for over 10 minutes xD
non of the choices at the end were my choices, each character had their own reasons (yay RP) but it was still hard for most of them. actually my 2nd hawke made it easier since in my mind she just charged in without a 2nd thought, not even giving the inquisitor time to think about it (julia happen to be the most awesome of my hawkes ;) ). anyway, yeah awesome quest, i love this type choices that just make it hard for you =D

(PS: you are not alone nat, i like loghain as well ^_^)

hahaha

This was one decision I never had an issue with, because I always end up with Hawke and Stroud and I'm the person here like "Who tf is this Stroud guy? Whatever. He stays in the Fade."

"Excuse to draw a monster?"

More like "excuse to draw Loghain", no?

@Blazypika2: I feel you - I was lying on the bed for a while there, trying to figure out what to do XD

@Guesty Guestface: The number of people who had Stroud amaze me. I'm not even sure if I should feel happy or sad for them, for never having to make this difficult decision properly.

@davesin: You come into MY house, and make these accusations?! How dare! I say, how dare! (maybe a little)

Posted @ August 30th, 2017, 9:05 am

@Guesty Guestface, @zenat: I would have chosen Stroud guy even if he was important anyway, his mustache creeped me out too much.

@Draven22 Have you gotten your mount yet? Climbing with a mount makes all the difference in the world!

Posted @ September 8th, 2017, 1:58 pm

@Schtinsu: i do indeed have the mount! i keep breaking its legs jumping off of high places since i cant die doing that :P also i have the mages on my side, willingly...i had a bunch of people get mad at me for it

@Guest: His facial hair is... memorable, I will give him that. It is honestly the only thing I remember about him.

Posted @ September 11th, 2017, 6:18 am

@zenat: You know, I never really felt much for Loghain. Played the game, read the book, played the game again and made the same choice I did the first time. I don't hold anything against people who like him, don't get me wrong, but I just...don't like him that much. Meh.

To be fair, I also didn't mind Solas, and my Inquisitor got along fine with him, while everyone else I know who played the game got instant oh-HELL-no vibes from him and somehow made him hate their Inquisitors, sooooo maybe I'm the weird one here.

Tried to keep Loghain alive for as long as possible. But, this is where he finally met his probable end.
