You know that moment when you are preparing an rp character and you see... *that* class, or race, or skill, and you just know you absolutely MUST have it? Come hell or high water, no matter what was said before, what plans you made with the other players, that's the one?
Now go forth. Play a hutt. Be the slowest and fattest member on the team, be the crawling meatshield. Roll over your enemies and crush them under your mighty frame.
Or feel sorry for Jonas for having to put up with me. Also an option, I suppose.
So what happened next? What were the fights like? The trading and interactions? The shenanigans? I NEED TO KNOW
Make it even worse and become a jedi. There is a precedent...sadly non canon now. XD
@D&DNewb: Well.. my perception is so low that I've missed two fights going on right behind my back (it's hilarious), and I've attempted to roll down a long set of stairs to crush a far away enemy (it failed spectacularly). My hutt IS the brains and brawn of the team though and can soak almost anything, and serves a slowly moving shelter for the smaller and more fragile team mates. And yes, the hutt might be slow, but the vibroaxe does some serious damage once I've managed to get into range to use it haha We did have to alter the interior of the ship we stole before we (I) could use it... slight drawback with being a big lump.
@Sharp-Claw: Are you talking about that super ripped hutt? Because that thing is a creature from nightmares and a large part in why I realized that playing a hutt was an option. And why my team mates were none too thrilled. Rest assured, I am playing a suitably fat hutt.
You just reminded me how much I would love to have an RP session.
It's the best when you find that race, and then play it really well. Not like me. My friend runs Warhammer, and I always want to play elf characters. I can't play characters with good alignments, though, so my elves always go crazy and end up burning down forests and the like. I'm not allowed to make elven characters anymore.
@Guesty Guestface: I "always" play an elf rogue first in video games. Ever since Baldur's Gate. Now, I don't burn down forests or tend to go for chaotic evil, but drow have a special place in my heart. So special I've just started an all-drow campaign...
I tried my luck with Google, though to no avail, and I completely missed it before: What's the RP system you're using for Star Wars? It sounds amazing, and I'd love to put my paws on it, please and thank you!
(Love the comic, ever a joy to read)
@Morgan: No worries! We use Edge of the Empire https://www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/star-wars-edge-of-the-empire/ best of luck! :D
