I don't know what it is with Blackwall but I react very strongly when he frowns, even if his voice doesn't really change tone all that much. Just... whoa, ok, chill, calm down... And I'm not very good when people start throwing things, even in games.
But then when Solas was yelling at me? This was genuinely the thought that popped up in my head. Intimidation level 0. Seems like a very nice and safe person even when angry.
Let's not go into what a great judge of character I am, please.
I'm not a huge fan of Blackwall's voice. For some reason it just... grates on me? Which is a pity because he's usually always in my party.
Have you tried romancing Josephine? Would recommend 10/10 for pure fluffiness.
None of them exactly have the most innocent history...
So we've got a traumatised addict, a traumatised murderer and a all power god in disguise who wants to destroy Thedas so he can rebuild it for elves. Lovely, right?
@Deedee: I *tried* romancing Josephine. However, she doesn't react to the flirting and after a few tries it went from "ok she's oblivious, try again" to "um, ok getting the feeling she's not interested and I'm just being a pushy asshole now" so I backed off. But, damnit, one day I tell you, one day!
@Norgrath: That is true. Still does not excuse my knee-jerk reaction to Solas yelling at me.
@Deonis: Maybe the Inquisitor is a worse judge of character than I am. Not sure if that is comforting or not...
I may or may not have an unshakable belief that Aristen will not actually become someone a future player character will have to kill. In the face of all the evidence.
No love for the surprisingly complex Ben-Hassrath spy?
(Personally, I just play males in this one. Because the Cassandra and Dorian romances are superb. Sorry, Cullen.)
Solas: Hey... It's not like if I could be an ancient god elven who want destroy the actuel world...
Lavellan: Yes and I love you so much ! Too much even; I can die if you left sudently wihtout say a word <3 And I think I will kill you before try to make a hug to a mad bear without weapons and armor If you make this this vhenan. But It will be never happen <3
Solas: (shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt)
I can relate.
Blackwall's beard was a deal breaker for me. Just...nope. And, to me, Solas was always like that weird ceramic cat all grandmothers own - just kind of there, in the corner, being a little creepy but not enough to cause alarm.
It never bothered me when Cullen threw that shit against the wall. Probably because I have also heard the siren's call of throwing shit against walls, so I get it. Me and my repressed rage understand. Not sure if that's a good thing...
@Guest: Well, I live in a world where the Arishok and Loghain are doing just fine. The Nile looks very pretty this time of year...
@warrion: One day I will make a comic about Bull and his romance, but alas I must admit that he is not my favorite character of the bunch.
And yes... I should have played a male Inquisitor... but... how was I supposed to know that the only two who were a no-go for a female Inquisitor would turn out to be the ones I really wanted to romance? :(
@Tsuki Hoshino: It's so nice that you can relax and just feel so safe and secure in your relationship with Sola- oh... right...
@Guesty Guestface: I swear, that description of Solas is one of the best ones I have ever seen and it made me laugh more than it should have.
The Iron Bull romance was the 4th romance I played, and it bewilderingly became my favourite - probably bc I was playing a female mage qunari and the subtext behind it all and the way I played her made everything way more interesting.
But one of these days I'll romance Solas. ONE DAY. as soon as I figure out how to not have my heart broken at the INEVITABLE BETRAYAL.
I recently finished a complete playthrough with all the dlc where I romanced Solas, Cullen used to be my favourite romance, but I don't know what it is about Solas' romance, I just like it so much better! Cullen will always have a special place in my heart, but Solas' romance takes the cake, who knew I was a sucker for drama? I sure didn't, plus I liked how it basically turned all of Trespasser into one big pitty party for my inquisitor! XD
