Friends playing Dragon Age is just the best thing ever. In @marugittocosplay‘s defense, she did have a lot of breaks when she played and it’s easy for things to slip through the cracks, but this is just too hilarious.

Reader Comments:

I think I only got to save him from jail in my very first runthrough with my Lavellan, because in the others the scene never triggered.
I think it's approval based and I just never got enough again? I dunno. *shrugs*

(btw i've been reading your comics for a while and i love all of them. every single one)

Yeah, that quest never triggered in any of my playthroughs. Once he just dissappeared from Skyhold, but I had no damn clue where he was and I could still bring him on the party, so...

Inquisition has been the only one of the Dragon Age games where I actually ended up with all the companions on my first playthrough. Origins I somehow never got Sten, Zevran or Oghren on the first go-round, DA2 I forgot to go see Isabella during Act 1 and she disappeared forever. I think BioWare needs to write in some sort of reminder to people to go find their companions.

I know at least in DA2, you can't skip Anders cause he gives you the Deep Roads maps. But I think Bioware purposely leaves it up to the players to find companions themselves. If for the value of repeat playthroughs if nothing else.
