I'm sorry Solas, but... this happened way too frequently. Probably doesn't make things better that I would sometimes let him wear Vivienne or Dorian's gear if I was bringing him but not them to some place really dangerous.

@Draven22: All characters have a style of their own, and if you give them new clothes the clothes will adapt to the style of the character, unlike in Origins when the clothes were what they were and the character had to wear it. While Vivienne and Solas put looking good over practical, Solas... um... has some less flattering fashion preferences.

Heh, after the first time through, I just gave him the other mage's cast-offs and the best of whatever I found. Not that I took him a lot of places...

@zenat: soo its just a fashion thing?

Posted @ June 20th, 2016, 4:19 pm

@Draven22: It is. I am shallow. And also horrified at the notion of people walking around barefoot in the snow.

Posted @ June 20th, 2016, 4:45 pm

@zenat: ..oh here i was thinking he had a half stripper outfit as a mage...was all about to practice whistling too XD also not everyone likes shoes XD

@Draven22: My grandmother is a retired nurse, and she's told me a lovely story about how people who got frostbite and were treated at the hospital. And how when they changed the sheets they would find black toes rolling around there. So, I don't care if Solas doesn't like shoes. If he is going to run around in snow he better wear them, for my sake if not for his own.

@zenat: ...i didnt relize you were in the snow at teh time..i'm sowwy ;-; and yea he needs at least sandles then.....unless....doesn't he get elemental magic?

Heh, I dare say that I am VERY guilty of doing the same thing to Solus. Man this looks great on Dorian hm here let me give it to Solus he needs some new gear. . . . *regrets instantly* . . . "Solus.. . .Why!?! Why would you ruin that beautiful beautiful robe?"

There is actually some kind of dlc or update that can let you make armor have whatever the hell color you want regardless of materials used.
Or at least that was how it was with my copy, a (crappy) 360 port (f**king textures).

Personally I prefer Solas' armor over that of Vivienne and Dorian. Especially the schematic type where he has that one piece of fur thrown over his shoulder. I like to make him wear it with a hood, and I make all the colours dark gray/black-ish. Those elements and the fact that his armor is kind of ripped and ruined makes him look... erm, wolf-like. ;)
