I finally played the DLCs! I never realized that I dragged Solas around EVERYWHERE until he wasn't there. I spent all three DLCs more or less "Where is Solas, I want to consult with him/show him this." How do you manage to go 130 hours and not realize how much you rely on a specific team mate? HOW?
Next Inquisitor is going to have to wait with the end game until the DLCs that can be done before that are done, that's for sure. Or maybe I shouldn't put all my, ah, eggs in one basket.
.....three DLCs e_e
*drifts off to the Origin store in gleeeee*
*Cannot afford new gen console yet, consumed by hatred*
Well played Solas, well played indeed. I weep for the shields the next protagonist will have to plough through, I spent so much time levelling him up.
I did the first 2 DLCs before finishing the game, so I didn't experience these problems. That, and along with my Mage Inquisitor, I usually only had Dorian as the other Mage. I only grabbed Solas if I knew there'd be something he'd comment/contribute to (ie. Elven ruins.)
@Angel_Sin: I wish you better luck than I. I had to try some 30 times to be allowed to actually buy the Trespasser DLC. Still not sure what went wrong there.
@Norgrath: Ahh, I'm sorry to hear that. I will, of course, suggest a PC as I always do. I am sure it is just as unhelpful as it always is.
@ScreamingViking: Haha I didn't even think about that. I pity whoever has to go up against him in DA4.
@Kat: Lucky! I brought Solas everywhere, like my Thedas tour guide.
This is so true. Solas is my bro in every play-through. Even though I know what happens in the end.
GODDAMMIT, SOLAS! I JUST WANT YOU TO BE MY FRIEND FOREVER! (AND LOVE ME FOREVER ON MY LAVELLAN SAVE!) STOP LEAVING ME! OHGODWHYYYYYY?!!?
@A. R. Valentina: When Trespasser came out and I couldn't buy it because Origin was an ass, I dreamed about Solas. Like, every night until I owned the damned DLC. Dream me insists that hugging Solas is the solution to all the problems, apparently. So if Bioware could just add a hug quick time thing, like the paragon/renegade options in Mass Effect, that would be great. DA4 will just be flowers and sunshine and probably some darkspawn.
Yah, Solas Varric and Cassandra were my dream team on getting though any playthrough regardless of my background and class.
Still I am encouraged that it looks like the next game may take place in Tevinter. Finally Fantasy counterpart roman empire.
well this is going to hurt later on
Vivienne actually has stronger shield than Solas cus of Knight-Enchanter. Solas has higher DPM tho, since Rift Mage does insane damage. Poor Dorian though....
I thought I was the only one who misses the guy A LOT. I bought Descent post game, and the whole journey was just boring things. Without him talking, or commenting about certain things. And I MISS THE GUY SO MUCH.
I feel the same.I need Solas! He's a clever bastard.I played the new DLC with the hope to drag him (at his pointy ears)home.
"Solas come back home!I don't mind your new Bad Boy image.I also promise to banish every kind of tea from skyhold!"
Imo the best DLC of the DA franchise. Also this DLC gave my theory about the Fen'Harel & Mythal pairing (had it somewhere in early 2015) a push in the right direction.
But: is it just me or is Sol'Harel quite arrogant? "Yes, my plans regarding Corypheus failed, but there is noooooo way my plans regarding the restoration of the elven kingdom may fail"
I loved Trespasser. But now I can't get my mods to work. SO SAD.
What I would've liked to add to the end scene? SOLAS, I AM DYING. The least you could do is let me stay by your bleeding side until I drop. Or if the world drops first, you know? I don't mind you being that selfish (destroying the world) but let me be that selfish, too. What have I got to lose? (I do think it's more him that has stuff to lose if he allowed you to go with him though. His courage might give out. Damn you, man!)
He was one of my main team mates, too, because of the comments and info he dropped. Otherwise I nabbed Dorian because he's great and, damn, even I would be gay for him if I was a man.
@Lilac_cat: Whoa whoa whoa, banish the tea?!
@TehLoki: Oh definitely. His plans seem to have been a long series of mistakes and now he won't even brainstorm with me? Solas, please... you put the Veil there for a reason and now you have a vague and unspecified plan to deal with the shit you locked away, but you won't tell me what it is? I smell future failure. That I have to clean up.
I see you get my point @zenat. Sol'Harel is a trickster and i am (big surprise) someone who like tricksters, but i guess his own trickery is tricking the old trickster. And even if his plans doesn't fail: What if some elves somewhere are going to repeat the misdeeds of the false elven gods?
Also i am afraid Merrill might join Sol'Harel's forces. I don't want to kill her .___.
Ran into a funny glitch and thought of you guys right away. While talking to Cullen at Haven I noticed that one of the soldiers was sparing without his head lol. Dunno if you want to use this in your comic but thought I'd share the laugh
