I love the Harts, I really do. It’s the only mount I ride with my Dalish. However, the Harts sound like a particulairly high pitched bullhorn, it is not a pleasant sound to listen to. Hissing Wastes I am looking at you here. Hissing wastes was part forever map and part bullhorn noises, it was awful.
Describing the hissing wastes:
Sand, Took over a castle, sand, Venatori, sand, HOLY SHIT I BAITED A DRAGON, sand.
I think that sums up most of it. :p
Why does that remind me of a Skyrim reference?
Lord Cadash looks down on you from atop his mighty Nuggalope. . . Hands.
Dracolisks are the ride of choice for my qunari lady. I like harts (yes, minus their calls), but there is such a thing as too many horns and antlers in one picture :D
I like harts too and may be one of the few who doesn't mind their sounds. They're absolutely hilarious in my opinion and grow on you. But I can't make any Lavellan ride other than harts and I seem to have gotten stuck in an elf-funk... And I WANT to ride the others too. *lurks*
I just referred to my Harts as my "Terrifying little Hell-Beasts" because I thought they just sounded really demonic. I liked to imagine my enemies fleeing in terror from their ridiculous screeching as I rode into battle.
(then I might have cheated on them with nuggalopes because nuggalopes are hilarious)
@Deonis: Haha XD. I'd describe it as sand, sand, oh look a fire in the distance, let's go there, ...wait I've been going for ten minutes and I've gotten nowhere, sand, sand, sand everywhere, whyyyy?
@ted the saiyanfox: Dunno, what reference would that be? :D
@Lord Morne: I really tried riding a nug but I stand with Dorian on the nugs. They have creepy, creeeeepy feet.
@Warrion: There can never be too many horns! Never! But I guess a dracolisk would be awesome enough for a kickass Qunari lady.
@Jen: I love the harts I really do, especially the wild hart :D. But that bullhorn noise is... I live with it, but it is so not a stealthy mount. I tried the other mounts with my Lavellan, but it just felt *wrong*, so I'm with you.
@Angel_Sin: Hell-beast sounds about right. I'm all up for riding hell beasts, awwww yisss ;D. I've tried the nuggalopes, but their creepy feet... I can't get over the creepy feet...
@Amare: Well... there is a lot of sand. If it wasn't for the blissful fact that there is a map to look over, I'd have been lost there for a loooooong time.
Y'know, I kinda like the hart and its sounds. But then there are the drakolisks... they freak the geek outta me. They look like huge malnourished dragon-horse-goats. Their eyes are piercing through my soul. They see all. ALL.
Man I actually really like their sound. The first time I heard it I went WHAAAAAAAAT, burst and laughing and then transitioned to awwwwww my sweet baby.
Hart call is love, art call is life.
We don't have enough Inquisitor-Mount interactions.
I want more petting my armored horse. He has to wear that silly looking helmet all day, he needs lovin.
Just wanted to say that a friend recently introduced me to this comic series, and it's really, really stellar.
I especially love Amare's art style (sorry Zenat! Yours is amazing too!) mainly because I find it pretty, adorable, and hilarious, all simultaneously. I think the above strip is a great example.
Yes, those things. I got freaked out by the screeching sound that it made, wasn't expecting that at all. Looks are deceiving
I once heard the screetching of a heavy metalic door or something similar from down the street. I honestly thought my hart had come to haunt me XD
