There are now two brown haired Dalish lady mages with scars by their mouths running around Thedas. We apologize for our diversity issues. I blame us hanging out too much, haha. We spent over an hour wangsting through character creation. Zenat was the worst at micromanaging her character’s face, it was very amusing XD.
This comic is also very amusing! xD I gotta say, I look forward to seeing the comparison of your first Inquisitors side by side, and your various choices in DAI. Will your playthroughs be similar as well? xD
I admit I went straight for male elf ranger. I wanted to romance Iron Bull but might have sort of accidentally flirted my way into a relationship with Dorian, oops.
I half want to make a female qunari/kossith next, but I also really really want to romance Cullen, so I am horribly conflicted @_@
Oh the perils of RPG character creation. Before you know it you're [insert number] hours further and you're still busy tweaking the inquisitor's nose.
@Spiderlight: Haha, so happy it amuses you <3. We probably will, but not until next year. We won't post anything related to actual stuff in inquisition until then. That being said... so far, Nat and I have made actually similar choices... We are sad people XD.
@Angel_Sin: Dorian... don't even get me started. I wanted to play female, but as soon as I met Dorian I regretted everything... fml. But it's probably going to be Blackwall or Cullen for me in this playthrough.
@Deonis: Haha, yes XD. Thing is, I don't understand why they didn't add an appearance changing feature in game. The light of the character creator and the light in the actual game are very different... I have things about my inquisitor that is bugging me out...
For the first time in my gaming history, I record with no small degree of bemusement tempered only with a pinch of shame, that I've re-created my character the now record breaking six times -- only one of which I owed to a technical difficulty, mind -- with five hours of gameplay, just about, invested into the inquisitors -- alas -- not dashing, or otherwise satisfying enough to make the rigorous cut.
I mean, with their eyes at all too tall. Or their mouths all ... ah.
Fine. They're all the same person splintered by the fade, all testaments to my astounding egoism, perfectionism and hilarious were it not terminal inability to operate the CC.
Which is perfect, and nuanced; myself a failure, and the world will only love the Inquisitor upon realising them to be my Warden's twin. And the eyes are still off...
Yay, character creation! (But, seriously, isn't this creator absolutely the bomb?)
I actually love the character creation in this game, and for the first time ever in this series I am 100% perfectly happy with how my character came out. Every time shes on screen Im caught off guard by how pretty she is.
I made a female Qunari mage.
Because it messes with ALL THE HIGHER UPS.
Chantry: Fuck she's a mage and a HEATHEN QUNARI.
Tevinter: Fuck she's a Qunari! We HATE THE QUNARI.
Qunari: FUCK she's a Tal'Vashoth Saarebas!!
It's unsettling just how much I enjoy their pain.
That and the height difference between her and Blackwall is just amazingly hilarious. She freaking towers over everybody but in the kissing animation he's taller than her, so I think I'm just going to pretend that she's either holding him up or crouching down for him XD.
I'm going to need to reroll a male qunari just for Dorian too because he is AMAZING.
I have female elf mage who is romancing Solas at the moment though I want to romance everyone which is making being only with Solas difficult. I think next I might either romance Josephine or Blackwall, but that's going to be like a hundred or so hours from now.
Admittedly, I had trouble figuring out the character creation on my first playthrough and now I have an elf who looks like Merrill's long lost twin.
And don't get me started on my desire to romance nearly all the LI's.
My F!Elf is romancing Solas, my M!Elf is with Dorian, my dwarf with Bull, human with Cassandra and my Qunari is with Blackwall. I fekkin can't win....
So excited for DAI but....saw varric was back....is he still unromanceable D:
Don't tell me you broke my itty-bitty heart by forgetting about Sera! I fell in love upon contact, becoming at all to aware of how my tendency to stick with one character (for canon to end all) is difficult to square away with her deserving a magnificent Qunari in her life...
Character creation is serious business
@Morgan The Skald: You'll also note that I didn't name all the LI's. I will- as is tradition for me- romance all possible Li's, I'm just working on the ones I have been most eager to romance... namely Blackwall, Bull, Cassandra, Dorian and Solas. I'll get to Sera, Cullen and Josephine in due time.
Just for the record (and super late), I made a female Qunari mage too. And I picked the bubbly British voice :D I love playing her. Everyone pretty much goes: "Qunari! Mage! DDDD: But wait... you're not so bad for being that... big..." Except for her girlfriend. Clearly Josephine is the best ;) (No seriously, her romance is so cute~ And Leliana's reaction in particular is hilarious.)
