The return of ME3 ending comics.
I like that the extended cut tried to fix the plotholes, however it was clear that there was only so much that they could do about certain parts. This isn't even mentioning that Harbringer sat quietly and waited for Normandy to come in, pick up the injured crew, for Shepard to say their goodbye, for Normandy to fly off again... all without shooting at them. It was very kind, very sweet.
Not very logical.
And so the ship Harbringer/Normandy was born. In a desperate attempt to explain it.
This is probably the first time I can laugh about these endings.
Well... a whole lot didn't make sense of the final charge and what happened after that. I mean, how did both Anderson and TIM get on the citadel as well?
Also, Garrus got hit with a rocket in the face once. He can't complain about having a giant laser blast throw him through the air at bit. Even if a Mako nearly crushes him.
I think it's explained by the Normandy having the Reaper IFF installed on board, so the Reapers don't flag it as being hostile.
Also, stealth systems, perhaps? I don't know.
Anyway, the same thing could be said about the beginning of the game, where at the end of the intro mission, the Reaper is happily blowing up evac shuttles (one with the kid on board), but completely ignores the Normandy, so Shepard can watch it happen in peace.
So, Harbinger/Normandy, huh?
Harbinger closed in on the helpless Normandy, and attaches to the ship.
Shepard: "Prepare to repel invaders!"
Shepard and the others look around strangely as another bump is heard.
Shepard: What is Harbinger doing?
Liara (cause Liara is a know-it-all): I had thought this to be an inaccurate translation...
Shepard: What is going on, Liara?
Liara: I believe that Harbinger is in love.
Shepard: Wait, what? You mean...? Is Harbinger humping my ship?
Rule 34. No exceptions!
@Guest: Then I'm glad to be able to help.
@Deonis: I agree. There were a lot of questionable elements that they didn't even try to fix. But this was just one blatantly in your face "hold on, you're contradicting yourself" moment that I couldn't let go of.
@Lynneiah: Well, even so, it's not like the Normandy is stealthily hidden or anything. It's just hanging around, right in Harbringer's face, picking up some crew members, no big deal. (It's ok Harbringer, I love the Normandy too, especially with EDI, I understand)
As for the beginning... it felt off yes, but at the very least that reaper was stomping around smashing everything. Harbringer is just sitting there, waiting.
@Guest: ME3's OTP, no point in denying it.
At least they fixed it so you can shoot the fricking brat this time....which basically is the worst ending you can get but still...
Perhaps Harbinger ships Shepard/Shepard's LI and was momentarily overcome by the OTP feels?
