In which Dasin remains single, forever.
I know. Mako is 18. 19. Something like that. But she reads 14 to me, and I just... I can't. There's no way I can have Dasin, super light side as he is, go down that road.
But the game just... tries. It really, really tries to force it. Often.
So when Torian finally expressed an interest in Mako, Dasin was overjoyed... from an entirely selfish perspective, because now, finally, the game was going to let him interact with Mako as if she was any other member of the crew. Without racking up dark side points.
Dasin can stick to crushing on Thendys Noori, and being depressed over how that worked out.
I hate it when the writers try to force your character into a romance in the game. Recently, I played a NWN mod that literally forced your character to choose a romance at the end. There was no "I don't want a romance" option. I didn't like the majority of romances in that mod anyway, because they felt like friends with benefits instead of any real romantic connection, therefore putting me off them altogether.
In an unrelated note, how come every game with same-sex romances as well as opposite-sex ones never have a "sorry, I'm gay/lesbian" option to say to the opposite sex ones, yet there's always a "sorry I'm straight" for same-sex? It seems like every player character is forced to be straight or bi, and it's frustrating.
