Soooo yeah... I wish Bioware would add interrupts in the Dragon Age series for obvious reasons. It's one of the best features in Mass Effect, and, you know... DA2 in particular needed them. In several places. Badly.
On a completely different note: We had an influx of some 11k hits on April 10th, but no idea where they are coming from. Anyone who knows? Curiosity is killing me.
the line has been crossed you don't talk about my mom like that, virtual or not
Playing the "mom" card is generally a bad decision. Be it IG or IRL.
Rouge Hawke is Princess Stabbity, Stab, Kill Kill!
exactly how i feel -_- i want to murder Meredith half the time; Orsino can be pleasant at times
but they both give me a headache
I have to agree with you on that. One interrupt that I would like is when Anders and Fenris starts about their causes. Oh, how I would like to slap both of them. Maybe DA3 will have it.
Gods yes, that would have been amazing.
Another great spot prime for interruption goodness would have to be that moment in the 3rd act where Anders starts griping at you about your choice of love interest that isn't him.
I just wanted to cut him off with
"Dude when we first met, I flirted with you and you turned me down. So I respected your wishes, moved on, found someone else and you have not stopped Bitching about your sour grapes for the last seven years. SEVEN... YEARS. Do you have any idea how LONG that is?! That's 364 weeks of everyone within the city limits of Kirkwall having to listen to you moan, groan, and verbally flail your limbs like a little brat having a tantrum. THAT'S 2555 days of me having to play peacemaker between you and everyone else in our group of friends because YOU constantly try to make yourself look like the better romantic choice by cruelly insulting their insecurities in front of me. So Anders, before it becomes 2556 days... let me lay this out for you as concisely as I can. I'm not interested and I don't give the Arishok's left nut about your opinion on the matter."
So yeah if you couldn't tell, I may be a 'little' bitter about what they did to my two favorite characters from the Awakening expansion. Let's just say that before DA2 released, I was all sorts of set on all the wonderful possibilities of putting sweet, poetic, heart melting Justice in a not married, not dead, VERY SINGLE, lovable perv of a mage's body.
Reality was not kind to me.
if they did the game would have been a lot shorter
which is a good thing! :D
I only sided with the templars once in my many, many playthroughs because I felt that Meridith is never portrayed as a sympathetic or likeable character (as opposed to Orsino). I didn't care for Cullen much either because I remember what he was like in DA:O, though he has mellowed out quite a bit.
Also, the fact that crazy people with magic killed someone doesn't paint everyone the same. Just like how those who try and keep those same people under control or are weary of magic users are the same either.
Its the Fenris vs Merril arguement. Fenris has been screwed over by magic and reasonably distrusts it, and Merril does some dumb stuff with blood magic. She is not evil, and Fenris is correct to be weary, but they don't try and kill each other over it.
That interrupt should be at the beginning. I barely played non-mages because of whiny nagging sister. Not that brother is better but at least he is easy on eyes. :/
@Hevv: Oh dear... I usually don't bring Anders (I'm more of a 'hit hard, hope we survive' player) but I can imagine that it would be frustrating. It's bad enough what you get even when he's not in your party.
@Knightly: I want A LOT of interrupts. Everywhere. All the time. Interrupts are the best. And I want to interrupt Carver when he goes into his 'uäääh poor me, stuck in your shadow' things. I like him, but I still kinda want to smack him a little XD
Well. I'm admin of a couple of pages on FB, and I may have mentioned your comic :p
Agreed, the ability to slap the dumb out of people in-game would be a lovely add-on :D.
@zenat: One thing that was kinda an interrupt, but not really, was in the City Elf origin. If you're a male, and you don't use the disguise, one of the guards will notice you and you can throw a knife in his throat before engaging everyone else.
@jay: It's at times like these that I miss the mod-ability of DA:O. There were slap mods if a party member was annoying.
@Kat: Hoho! A clue!
@Griffen: Female City Elves get the same option when they escape and run into the mess hall with a few guards there. I believe the exact phrase that accompanied that choice was 'Oh sod it. [Attack]'
I have no idea why BioWare bothered to put any other choices there.
They should have interruptions when Fenris and Anders are bitching at each other so i can tell them to shut the hell up. You should also be allowed to slap Anders.
You should also be able to make sarcastic comments to the companions stupid ones.
This is the most needed interruption though.
I sided with the Templars on two playthroughs and mages on the third. Merridith is a dick, but orsino knew about the guy who killed your mother. Im glad you get to kill both of them.
I wanted to do that soooo badly
