I... don't want to hate on Vette, BUT...
There is a certain kind of cheerfulness that rubs me all kinds of wrong ways and Vette has it down to a T. It's so bad that friends have told me that, upon acquiring Vette, they actually went "well, Nat isn't going to like her *at all*". And they were right.
Oh so right.
So right that upon her first appearance, as a mere background character, my reaction was "dear god what an annoying npc, I hope I don't see more of her because... UGH".
... and then I heard rumors that the female sith warrior got to romance an Empire geek and I'm all kinds of interested in that... *creating new character*
(and yes, I know that the sith warrior is one of the unusually blessed classes with two romance alternatives for both genders (!) but... Empire geek! Seriously Quinn, no pressure or anything, but I expect you to be fantastic.)
Well, my friend plays as F!Warrior and when we talked, she said that she just loved Quinn.
Mostly because of his accent. xD
Although Mako is also pretty upbeat, Vette comes on a lot stronger. I don't mind Vette, but Mako's humour is more interesting.
Although, I gotta say, that Ashara and Dark Sided M!Inquisitor is the cutest pairing ever!
I. Ship. Them. HARD.
Quinn is fantastic. Absolutely adored how sweet and *ahem* rules bound he could be. And the accent was a big bonus. But Vette...oh save me. Having her as a perky younger sister type was enough. I force choked people who were less disrespectful than Vette was to my f!Warrior
@Guest: Yeah... it's a bit hard to feel like the big bad sith when your own slave refuses to be respectful.
@Griffen: Well, Mako strikes me as too young to romance. 15, tops. I don't mind her, but she's very much my bounty hunter's baby sister, never a romance alternative.
@RS: He... he has an accent too? Oh my... No pressure Quinn. None. At. All.
I don't know much about Ashara, truth be told, but I hope she's great :D
@zenat: Oh, yes, he does. :D
And as for Ashara, she is.
In fact, Inquisitor's story is an absolute must. In terms of quality, Inq and Agent have the best stories out of all classes. Although I find myself enjoying Smuggler's story too. It's not as much "srs bsns" like with other classes, but there's more emphasis on the humour. Knight and Warrior are okay too. Nothing special or breathtaking, but they have their awesome moments of badassery. I didn't play Bounty Hunter yet, but I've heard it's awesome as well. Trooper is enjoyable, but quite predictable. And Consular is just down right boring. -.- If you're a "Play ALL the classes!" type, then leave Consular for last. You won't miss much. ;)
Also, if you'll be playing Inq, I suggest going full on Dark Side and as a male. It's just my own personal preference, but it works out nicely. M!Inq has an awesome, deep voice for which I'd go gay for in less than a minute. Although F!Inq has a powerful and commanding voice too. And as for DS... well, it'll just make sense if you'll look at the story. :P
@RS: I couldn't take Ashara seriously as a DS inquisitor; she always* acted as if my inquisitor was acting in the best interests of someone other than herself (although by the time I'd gotten Ashara I'd mellowed my character a little through guilt of what happened on Alderaan, she still shocked Ashara almost as soon as she met her).
*Always being in her companion dialouges
SPOILERS IF YOU SOMEHOW DON'T KNOW THIS
It feels like they intended to have light side and dark side options with her like
Jaesa but didn't end up implementing them.
@RS: Personally I love the consulars plot so far (up to Balmorra), my favourite after the agent.
i am so obsessed with malavai~<3 he must've been a chantry boy in another life, what with all his(super cute) stuttering and blushing ^_^
