Well, it was certainly how that fight went for me. Followed by ‘I THOUGHT I COULD SPARE HIS LIFE NOOOOO’.

So true

When I fought him with my mage Hawke I had some difficulty, when I fought him with my warrior Hawke I had to change the difficulty to casual...but when I fought him with my rogue Hawke there was no fighting him without using 20 potions and guerilla tactics XD

Yeah this was me...

I was also screaming like a little girl on my couch every time I would round a pillar and he was RIGHT THERE! Yep, I was the Champion of champions.

Yup, this pretty much describes my fight with him; running around, slurping down potions and hitting him when ever I had the chance.

Hehe, so true!
I had to use the same tactic with my mage Hawke during my first playthrough, but that Arishok bastard kept slowly heeling. Still, I managed in the end. And it was a looong fight. And hey, noone has said that the Champion needs to be glorious, yes?

This is EXACTLY what happened to me haha. Dog and everything.

And no need to apologize for being late. You don't owe us anything. If you forget you forget. No big deal. :)

See this is why I hardly ever choose to duel the Arishok

I admit it-- I did this. :P And I was on casual mode so it was completely unnecessary! *Gasp!*

I always hid behind the pillars especially when he charged at me ^_^"... Though I always felt bad for killing him for some reason :(. So this time around I'm working to rectify that :D

I even do this with my WarriorHawke lol XD You could bet Fenris (with him as the bet, not betting with him lol) that this is soo not how Varric tells it, totally un-epic lol.

@Swetpmnkygrl don't feel bad, i keep screaming to lol. i'm just lucky it was during the day or i'd have had un-happy neighbors, my one neighbor Trish told me she'd almost called the cops 'cause of the screaming when i told her it was cause of the Arishok Fight (she understands, cause she watched me on my Mage playthrough lol) >.<

If you're playing as a mage, I can almost guarantee 9/10 you'll have Force Mage specialization. Force Mage is literally the EASIEST to beat Arishok with. So many slows, knock downs, and you have a LOT of Fortitude. Combine the Gravitic Ring with AOEs and you're fine. I never got hit.

When i played as a rogue i ran about like an idiot until he charged then stunned him and used assassinate

Run about until he charged froze him then unleashed a holy hell chain of attacks

Just kept hitting him with the oversized pointy stick that was my sword.(Hawke clearly compensating with the sword)

I better than the people who was killing the Arishok that was shown in the comic.

the dog is the best part lmao

The first few times I played, it was definitely like this. Then, in the last couple months, I played an Assassin Rogue, screwed up my plot (the Arishok hated my guts, and would've had to fight the Arishok and his men if I hadn't run up and killed him in *two hits*. It was weird.

you know, i'm fine with mage and rogue. but it's like that for warriors as well for me which just pissed me off. it's like playing ME3 as a vanguard and then running away from brutes, like... no!

This happened to me in da2 and with the drow captain from bg2tob, and lorne from nwn2(had to kite him and buff spells or he would kill my drow), and maybe loghain(if you don't send in a fighter which I did but I haven't tried to send a mage against him). But at least he didn't have like 50% resistance to all the spells, against a wild mage. Oh, and the shadow broker on insanity. This is what happens when you send a mage into melee. But still its worth it to wear pajamas in battle.
