I ran over that space monkey by accident. Then I noticed the renegade points, and proceeded to slaughter the entire colony, even after I realized that I only got points for the first one. Worth it.
I really could not drive the mako. It was so bad that every time someone mentioned driving anywhere in ME2 I was filled with dread, and every time it was revealed that there was no mako to drive only a cutscene implying that it had been done... great, glorious relief.
And no, I did not like the hammerhead either, thought it was easier to control. I sneezed and it broke. Ugh.
I am one of the few that liked the mako XDDD. I laughed so hard at how ridiculous the driving was and how every location you had to go through was through the most impossible mountains ever...Unless you wanted to drive through flat ground and get a thresher maw to eat your face...
Oh the thresher maws... I almost forgot how much I hated them XD In a good way though. They were a challenge, without... well... inducing accidental wall-humping due to too small areas to move in XD
Whenever I had to drive through flat areas I was like 'Oh crap...*quick saves like a maniac*' and I did this really lame thing but I drove in reverse so I could run away from the thresher maw the instant I saw it faster >.>.
Alenko, after I accidentally ran over a space monkey: "remind me not to get on your bad side, commander". good thing he didn't throw a big hissy fit in ME2 or anything, right? ...wait.
Ah, yes! I too suffered from bad driving! I'd get out to shoot enemies and then get back in the Mako because I was so horrible at shooting things from inside the vehicle... XP (I actually drew a comic/pic based on the idea too... :P)
Thank to Mako we've got tons of funny comic about it. So it's not that bad. Plus, many people decided to study driving rules little more so... less traffic?
But no one seems at all concerned about the bit where you fly across the galaxy faster than the speed of light in it at the end. I mean, I feel unsafe when people accelerate quicker than I'm used to in the car.
