Redesigning elves to make them look like humanoid non-humans: hooray!
Redesigning elves so the majority look horrible, and still insisting that humans find them very attractive: questionable….
Mangling Zevran and calling it a day: … I shall close my eyes and continue playing.
Fenris was the only elf who actually had a human structure to his face. His nose wasn't straight like Merrill's; he had the indent like the humans' nose. Also, if you saw the texture of his skin, you'll see that he had hair stubs, like how a man looks after not shaving for a few days.
But I agree. They destroyed the elves in DA2. I'm scared to find out what they're gonna do to them on DA3.
I liked the idea of making them different but it was not executed well :/ Fenris was one of the lucky ones, everyone else looked like their faces had been smashed in.
OH MINE! you made me rofl so much!
DA:O - LoR kinda + Oblivion
DA2 - navi
DA3 - DOBBY!
Tendency: Bigger eyes, bigger nose, bigger ears and smaller body
Gosh, all this feedback is making me very happy <3. @katerinafm I liked Orsino actually, but yeah. I still like the transition, but NPC's... please make more effort Bioware. They did look like clones of each other.
@Inxerene- the important elves I think got enough attention to look... fairly ok, but the rest of the NPC's were just... I don't know. They just didn't put in enough effort.
@csuggs- Well I liked Orsino D: But yeah...
@Byarru- hahahaha XD that is probably it yes! You've just figured it out XD (I should have had dobby in this comic, damn, you just put in the real punchline XD)
@P!K- yeah it was my problem too, it just looked really weird. I like that the eyes has a sort of animalistic nature to it... I just don't think they're pretty though XD
Also why did they all suddenly talk with a Welsh accent? Did they go to Kirkwall via Wales?
Zevran did kind of look like he had a stoke between games.
Merrill was kind of cute, though! With her and Fenris, the voice kind of overshadowed the rest of the issues. He had a really lovely voice, and she had the cutest little accent. O.O
Against all odds...they always make the elves worse! Elves are almost always the superior race! In a sense...they somewhat are! They are more into touch with Magic, they used to be immortal pretty much, and grand architecture...And awesome in Dragon Age: Origins...now this?
AND 98% ELVES HAVE GREEN EYES NOW.
You're spot on with this one!!
I admit Fenris and Marrill were the only hot elves. Zevran looked beaten down and torched by the ugly stick lit wit the ugly flames of ugliness.
I actually prefer the elf design in 2. My very first character in DA:O was an elf, and I hated how ridiculously skinny their faces looked. No matter what I did she always looked sick. All the other elves too. The elves in 2 are pretty, and a lot more interesting looking. Everyone I know IRl who plays actually tend to agree with that, except in the case of Zevran.
Clearly Flemeth did some spell and ripped the souls out of all the elves so she could be more beautiful. I mean where else would she get the DA:2 body from?!
Meth. Not even once.
@Amare: Some of the NPC elves were attractive, Orsino being one of them, but most of them were a bit off (they reminded me a bit of the Na'vi in Avatar)
Fenris looked good and Merill was adorable, but they would have had more work put into them as they were main character squadmates.
@Inxerene: The most human looking elf in DA2 was Tallis from Felicia Day's DLC, I suppose Bioware was afraid of making Felicia Day look like a normal DA2 elf for fear of backlash from her fans.
@PKBitchGirl: It is probably because Tallis is played by Felicia Day in the mini series, so it made sense to model her character after the actress (who is human after all) to ensure that they look alike, rather than any fear of backlash.
